Introducing The Juicy Life and Banana Mint Whips!

Happy Monday everybody!

I hope that you all had a great weekend. The weather was gorgeous here. It was so nice to open every window in the house and spend time laying on the deck getting work done in the sun.

Our first "Discover Detox" Worldwide group finished up today. Casey and I had a great time with this group and have already gotten a lot of great feedback from the lovely Detoxers! We are so excited to see how things continue for them as they move forward and continue to integrate these principles that they've learned into their lives and move forward.
We hope that if you didn't get a chance this time, you'll join us the next time around.

Casey and I are offering another online worldwide program called "The Juicy Life"! We are so excited for this program! While "Discover Detox" was basically an introduction into cleansing and detoxification basics, "The Juicy Life" focuses more on juice fasting and cleansing the body more deeply. While this program is a tad more advanced, it still provides the same great online community and loads of support much like (if not more than) "Discover Detox", and in our opinion, support, information, and guidance from those with experience really is a necessity for a juice fast or cleanse that is enjoyable and effective.

Please visit lifeisjuicy.com for more information and to sign up if you'd like!

On that note, I'd like to share with you a delicious recipe from "The Juicy Life" recipe collection, the Banana Mint Whip!

Bananas are incredible. I absolutely love using them to make raw ice creams and milk shakes. My favorite banana treat is a Banana Whip from Arnold's Way with carob and dates (mmmmmm), but since that’s all the way in Lansdale (about an hour and half from Lancaster), I cannot go there every time I desire a Banana Whip.

Typically, I don’t eat too much fruit. As the weather has been getting warmer, I’ve been eating more fruit in place of my usual heavier foods (such as goat cheese or avocados), and banana ice creams are usually my favorite way to end my fruit-based meals.

An old favorite of Enrrico’s is the Shamrock Shake from McDonald’s. For those of you who don’t know, the Shamrock Shake is basically a mint milkshake that is offered around St. Patrick’s Day. So when Enrrico joked the other day that he wanted a Shamrock Shake, I created the Banana Mint Whip!

Banana Mint Whip

1-2 medium sized frozen bananas (about 1 heaping cup of frozen cubed banana)
1 cup of baby spinach leaves
1 small handful of fresh mint
A couple small drops of peppermint oil
Stevia to taste (optional, this is only necessary if the banana alone isn’t sweet enough for you)
Water to facilitate blending

Blend all ingredients until smooth! Enjoy!

There really is no end to the flavor variations you can create with raw salads, snacks, and desserts. This is simply one example of a Banana Whip that can be made a thousand different ways. Why would you EVER want to eat fast food junk when you can create something so delicious and beautiful with simple fruit and veggies?

Cheers, and Happy Belated St. Patrick’s Day!

Love,
Marlena

I'm addicted to this!!!, I couldn't find the recipe the 1st time I made it, and thought it called for 1/2 an avocado along w/ the other ingrediants...now that I have reread the recipe, I will try it w/o the avocado, but it is good w/ it also...
